Road trip out west from Michigan, what should I see and do along the way?
Me and my wife’s family are going out west for a road trip. We would like to see things like mt. rushmore, yellow stone park, grand canyon, etc. we will be taking 2 weeks and don’t plan on going all the way out to California. Is there any sites any one would recommend ? places to eat, stay, see, explore, throw em at me. planning on going in the summer.
OH MY yes….please go to Oatman…it’s by Laughlin….an hr or so from Las Vegas and right on the way to the Hoover Dam. This is a town right out of the movies like Gunsmoke. It’s small…but has a couple of different places to eat…a hotel with a ghost…lol…and Clark Gable and his wife spent their honeymoon there. There’s dollar bills all over the walls where people over the yrs have signed their names and put them on the walls. The burros run through the town…in the stores and everything. You can buy carrots or bring your own and feed the. They walk right up to you. They are very precious to this town and are very protected against people and cars. You look out for them..not the other way around. I don’t know if there is a website. But it is just the cutest town you’d ever want to see. It’s just like being in a western movie when your there. And I love westerns. We took 6 other people there the last time we were there and they absolutely thought it was the highlight of our trip to Vegas. I’ve been twice and would go back and back. And if you go that way…be careful of the white knuckle ride. Well thats what we call it. Sedona is beautiful. And if you go through Kingman…they have this Little Debbie outlet…lol…stop and have a taste.lol
